This artifical lake is a popular fishing destination in the center of Canberra, where anglers can catch Silver Perch, Golden Perch, and the famous Murry Cod.
Rainbow and Brown Trout may also be caught at the right times using the right bait or lures. Carp and Redfin are the most caught on the lake with some being caught up to 9 or 10 kg but usually anglers are landing 2 to 3 kg carp.
Lake Burley Griffin has a huge area to explore with boat hire and cruises avaliable and being right in the center of Canberra you cant miss it....
