McKensies Channel in usually a place for a sure catch, but today was only the little fellas. The wind was strong with prety rough conditions so we thought we would try McKensies channel, Which is usually out of the wind with some good flathead getting about. But not today. The tides were wrong for a start, with an incoming tide and strong winds it was hard to get into the right position. The few fish that did bite were well under size and the rest were just nibblers that take your bait. In these conditions it is best to find sheltered estuaries or river systems and go early morning before the wind picks up.
