There is a variety of fishing methods and spots to try your luck at the Gold Coast Seaway.

Fishing the rock wall on the right tide can produce good quality catches of Bream, Cod and Tailor.

The Spit beach is a good place to try that new surf rod, there are plenty of Bream, Tailor and Dart in the breaking waves. Pilchards, whole squid or lures are excellent here.

There are some sandy shallows on the calm side of the Spit near the boat ramp behind Seaworld, a great place to fish for Whitting. These waters are especially good to fish during the day while the water is warm and full of Flathead.

Drifting in a Boat along the Banks of Wave break Island or anchoring near the rock points will usually produce nice Sized Bream, Flathead and the occasional Snapper or Dew fish at night
